HI Pelmo, It seems we have the same issue I was planning opening up the unit this weekend and investigating the issue. As an electrical engineer i may be able to see if there is an easy fix. I will keep you posted Michael

I had purchased 2x G1000s and a Comms Pannel, the G1000 backlighting on the Keys even when turned to full intensity is barely noticeable when compared to the comms panel . Is there any other adjustments beside the VolSQ dial to increase the keys backlight intensity Thanks Michael
