COMM panel lights and button

Hey,

I got my Suite yesterday and its great. Thanks for this wonderful product.

Although my Comm Panel is not doing much. I am only using the FSB launcher with FS2020 and FS2024. Both the PFD and MFD work fine. All buttons and rotaries are directly doing what they should do in game.
The comm panel doesn't do anything. The FSB launcher shows Audio OK (7).
Pressing a comm button does not change anything in game. Also there is no light coming on showing which comm is active or not.

Pressing the Pilot or Coplt button for a longer time does work. Light comes on and for Coplt the PA also comes on.

So what is the status at this time? should it already be working with 2020 and 2024?

Hey Admin,

Thanks for the quick reply. Downloaded and run the Firmware updater.
Did the update and all is fine now. Working great in both 2020 and 2024.

Thanks :)

I was so happy to read about this solution becasue I have the exact same problem as Falcas. However when I try to update the firmware it does not seem to work after selecting the audiopanel_fw_2.0:24.03.24.FSB

It looks like you are trying to update G1000 with AP FW. Make sure you unplug and plug back in USB from Audio Panel so the updater knows you are updating Audio Panel.

I had purchased 2x G1000s and a Comms Pannel,
the G1000 backlighting on the Keys even when turned to full intensity is barely noticeable when compared to the comms panel .
Is there any other adjustments beside the VolSQ dial to increase the keys backlight intensity
Thanks
Michael

Hi Michael,

I just posted about a similar issue, but in the dedicated G1000 module section. In my case, the button backlighting is uneven—some buttons are much brighter than others, while some are barely illuminated.

Do you also have this issue where the buttons on the two screens have different brightness levels, or is your problem more about the overall low intensity compared to the comms panel?

Would be great to figure this out together!

HI Pelmo,
It seems we have the same issue
I was planning opening up the unit this weekend and investigating the issue.
As an electrical engineer i may be able to see if there is an easy fix.
I will keep you posted

Mine is the same. The G1000s have the backlights turned up to their brightest settings and it's barely noticeable whereas the Comms panel is very bright.
