Looking at the way the new panels are constructed and assembled, you could probably buy either one, and then use the front faceplate as a template to cut your own to fit whatever avionics, switches, or controls you'd like to use. I'm hoping that the faceplate will be swappable without too much trouble. The rear housing and glareshield would be the only pieces that I'll use on any given panel setup. I'm not sure, but the pictures look like the housing is the same on both the Premium and Basic panels.
That said, I'd like to see a hybrid between the two panels, with cutouts for the FSB G1000 and Honeycomb controls up top, and with the lower space beneath the controls free to install switches, stream decks, or other avionics. If one isn't available, I'll probably buy the Premium panel and make a custom panel to fit my hardware.
This product looks amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on one!
