G1000 NXI Mount Adapters

I received my G1000 TNxi and have to say, they look amazing! I can't wait to mount them in my panel.

That said, the mount adapters that are included are just a tad too large to work in my space-saver panel. Is it possible to have those trimmed down about 4 - 5mm on the outside edges? I may just run mine through a band saw, but I hate to risk damaging them.

The smaller side (top & bottom) is 9.7mm thick, but my panel only has 6mm from the bottom edge of the cutout to the base of the panel. So, these are about 4mm too large, at least on that one side.

If you have access to a 3D printer, I would go this route.

I really just need a laser cutter. The new brackets are only 3mm plastic and would cut easily with a good bandsaw or laser cutter. If I had the latter, I'd buy some new 3mm sheets and lay out my own. Unfortunately, I don't have a laser cutter or 3D printer. I may have to see if SendCutSend can make a set at a reasonable price.

This is a great idea/feedback. Let me send it to the engineer I think it might be better to switch to this design to acomodate setups like yours. We just need to make sure it's still going to hold the units well. Please also send a note to our support team so we can send you one set of the updated design.
