Hello... Love the g1000 suite but have an issue.. My mfd and pfd buttons do not light up.. Tried everything in other posts to fix but nothing works. I see that I am not alone with this issue . Makes it tough to see while flying.. Would be really nice to have these lit up.., My audio panel works fine. All lilt up. Please Help? Thankyou.

yes ,I to have just relieved the 2 G1000 unit and i have many problems that is very frustrating. One of my units light is also not working as well as the touch function, which i purchase the touch versions. Also the buttons are not working. I have been dealing with this for 4 days now trying everting and anything. Support is very slow to respond.if you have any ideas, please share. Thank you.
The setup should be very easy and should not take more than 5-10 min. If you need to spend more time on this after carefully following the instructions, it might be easier to book the Expert Installation session for nominal $50 where the engineer will connect to your system and get everything up and running. Sometimes the issues are caused by the sim too so having something with the experience and knowledge can make it much easier.

Did you get your unit to work? Did you get your buttons to function? What did you do if you got it working? I just paid $80 for help and so far no solution.
I’m glad others are experiencing similar issues. My PFD has a problem with the heading indicator (HDG) knob. When I push it to sync the heading, it doesn’t align with the current heading. I reported this issue after troubleshooting it myself, and support finally asked me to test all buttons using a third-party utility. The utility revealed the sync button is not working, and they confirmed it is a hardware issue, and asked me to return the unit. I had just received it after months of waiting for it to ship, this was in August of 2025.
I also have another issue. My original shipment didn’t include the audio panel bracket that I had ordered. I contacted support, and they asked me to confirm the issue. I did, but I never heard back from them.
I opened a support ticket for the HDG issue and received an email acknowledging receipt of my request. Despite this, I haven’t received any further communication from them.
I posted my issue on the forum, and the moderator decided to delete it and asked me to contact support again. I informed him that support is not responding, except for the two replies I just mentioned.
In the meantime, my MFD HDG sync button has also stopped working, which raises questions about the quality of these products.

The instructions are terrible, and it’s shameful that they haven’t improved them yet, especially when they’re asking $50 for initial setup support.
