When we launched this series of products, we invested heavily in making the units as plug-and-play as possible. On average, setup takes less than five minutes.
That said, we understand that simulator-specific configurations or add-ons can occasionally create unexpected issues. To help with this, we’ve added detailed troubleshooting resources and also offer a $50 Expert Installation Service, where one of our engineers connects remotely and ensures everything is fully set up and working correctly.
Because only a small number of users require expert installation, we don’t keep an engineer on standby, nor do we hire sales staff. Instead, we’ve chosen to invest in innovation—continuous free software updates, new profiles, touchscreen functionality, and overall product improvements that are included as part of the package.
We also continue investing in the development of new profiles and release them to existing G1000 customers at no additional cost.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. The expert installation option is available specifically to make the process smoother when needed. At $50, we’ve kept it optional rather than bundling it into the product price, which would increase costs for everyone.
