If you have an older unit and are prompted to update the firmware, but nothing happens after unplugging and reconnecting the USB (and you see a message to contact support), it means your unit does not support firmware updates via USB. This update method is required to use the latest launcher versions.
You have two options:
Encoder Speed Mode. This will enable to increase / decrease encoder speed mode on a scale from 1 to 10 (by default it's 5). However currently, if you increase beyond 5, X-Plane / MSFS will not be able to read it.
Press and Hold "HDG" knob. The buttons will illuminate showing the current speed.
Use "HDG" rotation to adjust encoder speed.
Press "HDG" again to exit the encode speed mode.
You have two options:
- Use the 1.2 firmware version available here: FSBLauncher v1.2.0
- Send your unit for a one-time firmware update, which costs $50 per unit plus shipping. After this update, you'll be able to update the firmware via USB.
